Before selecting a wedding planner --
there are crucial things to learn about them and their services.
Contact them and see how responsive they are with their
communication. Most coordinators will get back to you within 24
hours of initial contact. When you are working with brides, you
don't want to keep them waiting because being a bride is
stressful enough - so you want someone responsive and
approachable. During your first meeting, make sure that the
wedding planner understands your needs and that your
personalities are compatible. You are essentially starting a new
relationship with your wedding planner and your planner will be
your eyes on the day of the wedding. You want to make sure that
they can understand and implement your vision and correctly.
The biggest thing to look for in a wedding coordinator is: are
they organized? The reason you are hiring a coordinator is to
ease your stress and minimize your time of planning. Therefore,
make sure that you look for someone who is organized and prompt
with their responses to emails and phone calls.
Always do a reference check on your wedding coordinator. If the
coordinator has been in the industry for awhile, they should
have no problem letting you contact some of their other brides.
Once you have selected your coordinator - you should be able to
sit back and enjoy your festivities!!!
